Building something real… before it feels real
I’ve been asking myself a question lately…
one I don’t hear many people say out loud.
At what point does what you’re building actually become real?
When do you get to say—without hesitation—
“I have a business.”
“I have a brand.”
“I am a coach.”
Because if I’m being honest…
sometimes even saying those words doesn’t feel fully true.
I have a store.
I’ve put a lot into it—time, energy, thought. Building something that actually means something.
I’ve made sales.
Not a lot… but enough to know people like it. Enough to know it resonates.
But still… there’s this voice in the background:
Is this really a business…
or is it just a hobby that’s costing me a lot of time and money?
And then there’s coaching.
This one is harder to question… because I’ve seen what happens.
I’ve seen the breakthroughs.
I’ve watched clients shift, grow, take action, and get results.
The reviews are real.
The transformations are real.
And yet…
there are moments where I still question it.
Is that enough to fully own it?
To just say it, without overthinking it—
“I am a coach. A good one.”
Maybe you’ve felt this too.
That space where:
You have proof… but not enough of it
You believe in what you’re doing… but not every day
You’re putting in the work… but it’s not fully translating yet
You care deeply… but you still question everything
It’s frustrating.
And honestly… it’s exhausting.
Because on top of that, there’s always more you “should” be doing.
More content.
More videos.
Figure out the tech.
Plan it better.
Stay consistent.
Keep showing up.
It can feel like the list never ends.
And underneath all of it…
there’s a quieter thought that doesn’t get said out loud much:
What if this never really becomes what I thought it would?
Lately, I’ve been thinking about something deeper.
What does it actually take to believe in what you’re building?
Not when everything is working.
Not when the numbers look good.
Not when other people can clearly see it.
But right now… when it’s still quiet.
There was a time when even Jesus was just beginning.
Before the following.
Before people recognized Him.
Before most understood.
He was questioned. Misunderstood. There was doubt.
And yet…
He didn’t need proof to tell Him who He was.
He knew.
He had faith in God,
faith in the path in front of Him,
and faith in who He was called to be.
And I think that’s where this shifts for us too.
Because if I’m honest…
it’s not just about results.
It’s about belief.
Faith that God is actually leading us.
Faith that what’s on our heart is there for a reason.
Faith that we can carry it out.
And maybe the hardest one…
faith in ourselves.
It’s easy to say you believe.
It’s a lot harder to keep showing up
when it’s slow,
when it’s quiet,
when no one is really noticing yet.
But maybe that’s exactly where faith is built.
Not when everything is working.
But here…
in the waiting,
in the uncertainty,
in the work no one sees.
There’s a phase in building anything meaningful where it just doesn’t feel real yet.
Where it’s quiet.
Where it’s slow.
Where it feels like you’re putting in more than you’re getting back.
But that doesn’t make it a hobby.
That doesn’t make it false.
That doesn’t make it something to dismiss.
Maybe the real work isn’t just building the business…
or growing the brand…
Maybe it’s this:
Learning to trust what God placed on your heart—
before you see the results.
Having the courage to keep going
when it’s quiet,
when it’s slow,
when it would be easier to question everything.
And choosing—every single day—
to believe that what you’re building actually matters.
Because faith… real faith…
isn’t just believing in God.
It’s believing that He’s guiding you.
That what you feel called to do isn’t random.
And that you are capable of following it through.
So if you’re in that space right now—
building, questioning, showing up anyway…
Don’t brush it off.
Don’t minimize it.
Don’t call it “just a hobby.”
You’re in the middle of something being built.
And that takes something most people don’t talk about enough:
Faith.
Courage.
Conviction.

🔸 A Question For You
If you’ve made it this far… I’d really love to hear from you.
What are you struggling to believe in right now?
Is it your business?
Your path?
Your calling?
Yourself?
Or maybe something else entirely.
You don’t have to have it all figured out.
But sometimes just saying it out loud…
is where the shift begins.
